Description
Tillandsia , air plant yani hava bitkisi olarak bilinen bu bitki, topraksız bir şekilde yaşar. Toprak olmadan başka bitkilere, ağaçlara tutunarak yaşadıları için epifit bitkiler türündedirler.
Sulama fıs fıs ile haftada 4-5 defa ya da suya batırma yöntemiyle yapılabilir
Suya batırma yöntemi haftada 1 çok nemsiz bir ortamsa haftada 2 olmak üzere bitkiyi bir kapta suyun içine koymaktır. Bitki yarım saat ile 1 saat arasında suyun içinde kalmalıdır. Sudan çıkardıktan sonra ters bir şekilde bir havlu üzerine konup 2 saat kurumaya bırakılmalıdır.
Aydınlık bu bitkilerin gelişimi için çok önemlidir. Cam önleri en uygun ortamlardır.
